Recovery After Rhinoplasty
Aesthetic Surgery
The recovery process after rhinoplasty is just as important as the operation itself for a successful result. Here is everything you need to know:
First Week (Days 1-7)
After the operation, there will be a cast and tampon on your nose. Bruising and swelling in the first 48 hours is normal. It is recommended to sleep with your head elevated.
Second Week (Days 7-14)
Your cast is removed on day 7. Bruises will have largely disappeared. You can start light activities but should avoid heavy exercise.
First Month (Days 14-30)
Swelling continues to decrease. Wearing glasses should be avoided. Sun protection is very important.
Months 3-6
Your nose begins to take its new shape. Tissue healing continues.
Months 6-12
The last swelling at the tip of the nose subsides and the final result appears. Regular check-ups should continue.
